Greetings, I am Judith Romo, a Houston hair stylist and the creative spirit behind Beautiful Grace Salon. In the colorful heart of Bogota, Colombia, where I was born and raised, my dream of migrating to America and launching my own business was born.

While my mother discerned my knack for beauty, the vision was all mine. I was intrigued by the transformative power of hair styling and how it could uplift spirits and infuse confidence. Despite some initial hesitation, I could see myself as a hairstylist in Houston, styling and bringing smiles to people’s faces.

In 1994, I began my pursuit of beauty at the Biocosmetology School of Colombia, supported by my mother. The comprehensive three-year program was my doorway into the realms of make-up arts, skin care, massage, hair styling, and nutrition. Empowered with the knowledge and honed skills, I felt ready to embrace my dream with open arms.

The new millennium, 2000, signaled my bold move to America. In Houston, I met two accomplished hairstylists who saw my passion and offered their mentorship. For three rigorous years, I worked under their tutelage, learning, growing, and facing challenges. The earnings were modest, but the vision of running my own salon one day kept my spirits high.

Following my marriage, my husband and I found our new home in the welcoming community of Humble, Kingwood, and Atascocita. Here, I joined Beauty Brands, honing my skills and establishing a loyal clientele for nearly six years. The birth of our first child stirred a fresh desire within us, a dream for me to combine my role as a new mother and a stylist.

The decision came naturally – it was time to materialize my dream of starting a home-based hair salon in Humble, TX. Word of my new venture spread amongst my clients, and soon, despite being on maternity leave, I started receiving calls. My clients’ trust and loyalty were heartening, as they were ready to receive their hair services at my home.

As the business began to flourish, it outgrew our home space. The bustling salon traffic led us to lease space at Tuscany Village. Today, it stands as the Beautiful Grace Salon, a testament to my journey, my dreams, and my perseverance.

Today, I am Judith Romo, not just a Houston hair stylist but a dreamer who dared to dream and dared to make it come true. With Beautiful Grace Salon, I am living my dream daily, sharing my passion for beauty, and touching lives, one hairstyle at a time.
